Accomplishments of the MTN Trail Rider's Association

As our membership continues to grow monthly please go to the member list tab for an updated club member list.

  • Successfully raffled a 1973 Hodaka Combat Wombat 125cc Motorcycle that was completely restored by one of our members.

  • Organized three events at I-81 Motorsports Park to include hole shot contest, wheelie contest, circle track contest, and poker runs.

  • Aug 8th 2010 was awarded a  grant from the Yamaha OHV Grant commission for $7,156.00.  This grant will be used for lighting the parking lot, trail mileage markers, and bear proof trash cans at Buffalo MTN atv trail.

  • Aug 29th 2010 MTN Trail Rider volunteers completed a contract with the US Forest Service.  This project placed boulders to keep riders from off limit areas. Also improved drainage around the parking lot at Buffalo MTN.  This project has created a close working relationship between the members of the MTN Trail Riders and the US Forestry Service.

  • During a search for a missing rider at Buffalo Mtn. atv trail.  The MTN Trail Riders worked side by side with the Unicoi County Sheriffs Dept. and Fire Rescue.  This has created another close relationship with local law enforcement.

  • MTN Trail Rider volunteers have conducted several Buffalo Mtn. atv trail clean up days.  This has made the riding area a much cleaner place and has been noticed and appreciated by the local residents.

  • MTN Trail Rider members have helped write an OHV Bill that is currently in the TN House for approval.

  • MTN Trail Rider members voted on and approved the purchase of a box trailer to be used for club events and cleanups.  We have taken delivery of the trailer and are in the process of applying MTN Trail Rider Assoc decals and improving the interior for storage of club items.
